Sunday was a gorgeous spring day and perfect for the Fairfax Law Foundation’s HEROES vs. VILLAINS 14th Annual 5k and Kids' Fun Run! TAYLOR HUGULEY POWERS PLLC proudly sponsored the event, Kim Huguley participated in the 5k, and Leigh Taylor and Roberta Henault volunteered as race marshals. This event has raised over $140,000 since its inception to benefit the Fairfax Law Foundation and its many community and pro bono legal programs. Hope F. Rosen visited the University of Virginia School of Law last week as part of the course faculty for the Virginia State Bar, Professionalism for Law Students program. This course was developed as a collaborative effort on the part of the VSB Standing Committee on Professionalism and the Board of Governors of the Education of Lawyers Section for the purpose of presenting to students of Virginia’s law schools, as early as possible in their training, the VSB’s aspirations of professionalism. Judges and attorneys who have served as faculty for the Harry L. Carrico Professionalism Course travel to the law schools to speak with students about professionalism as it relates to the Client and to the Court, facilitate discussions where students respond to hypotheticals, and network with the students in a relaxed atmosphere. Hope truly enjoys her participation with this program and spoke to the students about professionalism and the attorney-client relationship. #vsb #uvalaw #thpfamilylaw

The attorneys from THP Family Law attended the 2024 Bench Bar Dinner Dance, where nearly 500 members of the bench and bar gathered for an evening of good food, music, and dancing. This year’s festivities included flamenco dancing by 𝙁𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙖 𝙁𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙖 and live music by 𝙅𝙪𝙠𝙚𝙗𝙤𝙭𝙭. #furiaflamenca #thpfamilylaw

Debra traveled to Richmond for the Virginia State Bar Council Meeting last week. Friday evening, she enjoyed catching up with fellow council members at the beautiful Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and then they got down to business on Saturday. The VSB is governed by its Council and Executive Committee, whose members are elected or appointed from every judicial circuit in the Commonwealth. The mission of the Virginia State Bar, as an administrative agency of the Supreme Court of Virginia, is to regulate the legal profession of Virginia; to advance the availability and quality of legal services provided to the people of Virginia; and to assist in improving the legal profession and the judicial system. #VirginiaMuseumOfFineArts #virginiastatebar #supremecourtofvirginia #thpfamilylaw
